Content for Apple Podcasts website
Creative and art direction
I was briefed on a Thursday about a website that was in the works for Apple Podcasts and had 24 hrs to come up with ideas and direction for how to structure the content and how to make it visually appealing. And of course I’m a big fan of making things make sense. Sure enough, the day after we were approved and started booking photographers, talent and illustrators.
I ran the art direction of the three different buckets of content. I art directed and picked photographer for the portraits. I came up with what to illustrate, found the illustrator, set the style, color and limitations and briefed and followed up and art directed that. I then worked with the photo director on finding the right stylist and photographer for the props shoot and worked with the whole team on getting that to a good place, including picking props, colors, concepts etc. I also laid out the assets we created in design and worked with a production company on developing the website.
